PILATES

"You will feel better in ten sessions, look better in twenty sessions, and have a completely new body in thirty sessions."

Pilates improves the body - mind - soul unity and body perception and supports the body in its natural posture enabling the compensation of false positions.

Josef Pilates, born in Germany, emigrated to America where his training method ranging from stretch- and strengthening exercises became widely acclaimed by dancers. Today Pilates is generally popular. Pilates is based on the following basic principles: relaxation, concentration, respiration, centering, control, precision and fluid. It results in improved flexibility, coordination and balance, strengthens the middle of the body, particularly the stomach and back musculature, strengthens the body and makes it smoother, tauter and more slender. It relieves joint and muscle pains and stimulates the nervous system. Today the method created by Josef Pilates is differently interpreted by many schools and is adapted to the latest scientific knowledge.
