FLOOR BARRE & PBT

“Don't breathe to survive; dance and feel alive.”

Based on the structure of a traditional ballet barre, the exercises are performed either lying down or sitting.


Floor Barre, also called "Barre a terre", aims at better understanding the mechanics and functionality of movement, at increasing strength and flexibility and at refining the separate elements that compose dance as a whole.
This year, some elements of Progressive Ballet Technique (PBT) will be incorporated to the class. These exercises will focus on the imagery of the movement and on generating the correct muscle activation.
